Hi guys. I’ve been a blog slacker. I know. Sorry.

But anyhoo…let’s get on with it!

1. I can do crow!

Yep, that ‘s my booty way up in the air!!! After playing around recently, I discovered that I can do crow pose! How cool!? This has always been a pose that I’ve struggled with and pretended not to care about when I was actually thinking “Ughhhh, why can’t I do this!?” It’s cool what happens sometimes when you walk away from something. You may come back to it and realize that you’ve changed.

2. Anne Lamott is amazing.

I don’t know what’s been wrong with me recently, but I haven’t been able to pick up a book to save my life. Last weekend on the plane ride home, however, I devoured Help, Thanks, Wow by Anne Lamott. This book is food for the soul. Reading it is like being curled up in a warm blanket of emotional comfort. My favorite quote from the book is this:

“If we stay where we are, where we’re stuck, where we’re comfortable and safe, we die there. We become like mushrooms, living in the dark, with poop up to our chins.”

This has become my new mantra. If I refuse to change, I will die in my own shit.

Thank you, Anne.

3. Stevia is disgusting.

Stevia is the only sweetener I can have on the Whole Life Challenge. I tried it. It’s disgusting.

4. I want to complete a Yoga Teacher Training.

This is the biggest thing I’ve learned this week. All of a sudden, it seems that a light bulb has been switched in my mind and I know that I want yoga to become a part of my career. It inspires me. It soothes me. It motivates me. I’m looking into a training for this summer and will keep you posted. More to come on this topic….

5. I’m sick of this challenge.

There. I said it. I want to go to Sprinkles Ice Cream now.

Peace, love, and happy Sunday everyone!
